ABOUT THE PUBLICATION
Original BYU sports reporting for Cougar fans.
Feed the Cougar is an independent publication focused on original BYU sports reporting, analysis and useful context. We also keep selected video and podcast links clearly labeled and separate from our reporting.
Meet the editor
Cody Burdett is a BYU fan, local teacher and the founder and editor of Feed the Cougar. He enjoys technology, hunting and time with family. Read Cody's full author profile.
How FTC Originals works
FTC Originals pair source-backed reporting with BYU-focused analysis. Stories carry a publication date, byline and links to supporting material. Cody Burdett is responsible for the publication and welcomes corrections when a source or statistic needs another look.
Media and references
Videos and podcasts remain clearly labeled links to their creators. They are separate from FTC Originals and do not change our reporting, analysis or editorial standards.
Original content and AI
AI tools help research, draft and produce some FTC articles. Daily football and basketball drafts may publish through a scheduled workflow; Cody can edit them before or after publication. We label those articles, link their supporting sources and hold a draft from automatic publication if it lacks substantial analysis or a source link. The editor remains responsible for corrections and editorial decisions.
Editorial independence
Advertising is labeled and does not buy favorable coverage, rankings or placement in the editorial feed. Sponsored material will be identified. Feed the Cougar is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Brigham Young University.
